We do not employ high earning salesmen, have expensive factory overheads nor does the Managing Director drive a Rolls-Royce car. We are aiming to build our business through long term relationships with our customers and Agents because the products work well and are competitively priced.
We aim to provide the customer with such a good package that he comes back to us again and that keeps our selling expenses to a minimum. Most of our business comes from repeat orders, or customers recommending us to their friends – that is the best reference we can have.
We build exactly to order and buy material only to customers order so have complete traceability of the supply and origin of the parts used.
We do not like to put rig, mud pump, foam pump, compressor etc all on one truck. It may be self-contained but it means a bigger, heavier, more expensive truck. Why pay for what you don't need ?
We can drive our rigs, foam and mud pumps hydraulically off 1, 4 or 6 cylinder engines, and then yuo can use a separate compressor which only needs to be taken out when required.
Our designs are strong , simple and robust. Ease of operation and maintenance are important considerations and our designers have had hands-on experience of all aspects in over 30 years in the drilling industry including drilling overseas.
Regular maintenance is kept to a minimum by careful choice of materials and there are few grease points and little routine adjustment.
We use engines such as Perkins that are serviceable worldwide. Direct acting valves and gear type pumps and motors can be serviced in the field. There are no computers, remote acting servos, complicated splitters or gearboxes or special devices which the average mechanic would not understand. We keep electrics as simple as posible and restricted to starting, charging and safety circuits.
We test very thoroughly starting with sub-assemblies. Hydraulic components and then sub-circuits can be tested on a power pack before the main system is complete. Then we run and test the rig for days before releasing it. Overloads tests are applied and a certificate given with every rig (even reconditioned rigs).
We build all new rigs and sometimes have second hand rigs for sale, but can also supply manufactured rigs with warranty at 60-70% of new price (see separate sheet for details). Together with carefully selected and tried second hand compressors or reconditioned mud pumps it makes for an attractively priced package.
We provide operation and maintenance manuals for the rig exactly as built.
We will train our clients staff on our premises free of charge, but we do charge for commissioning and training overseas.
We can supply a package of spare parts for the first year or two’s requirements. Although we do not make drill rods, bits etc, we try to supply the complete package at fair prices and guarantee that by buying through us, everything will be tried and fitted together before despatch.
